What’s included…. A canvas that’s primed and ready to go, reference, comprehensive handout, light refreshments, tea and coffee. As well as a bonus zoom session all about materials and what to buy at the art shop!
What to Bring… Materials list will be sent on registration. Oh and something to eat for lunch. There is a full kitchen for our use and the shops are literally across the road.
**It’s best if you have your own supplies so you can continue at home, particularly if you don’t quite finish your painting on the day.
However, for a small extra charge I can supply what you need.

An Introduction to Oil Painting.
An Introduction to Oil Painting is just that… the perfect workshop for the beginner artist and anyone who has flirted with the idea of giving it a go!
This workshop will give you the opportunity to find out exactly ‘how’ to start oil painting from a professional artist. That includes taking a good look at the materials you will need, what you don’t need, setting up and everything about getting paint onto canvas.
In particular, as a professional I’m passionate about safe studio practise and creating paintings that will stand the test of time.
I focus my teaching on best practise and there is absolutely no need for oil painting to be the smelly, turpsy experience of the past!
Developing good habits right at the beginning has the added benefit of making your art journey so much more enjoyable and also lead to higher satisfaction.
And so, that is my aim for this workshop… to introduce you to best practise and show you just how easy and fun it is to paint with oil paint, so as you move forward you will have a solid foundation to begin from.
Bonus!! This workshop will also include a free zoom session prior to class which will go into more depth on materials and what to buy when visiting the art shop!
This is a new addition to my workshops, but experience has shown me that many people are unsure of what to buy or bring to class, so this will be an opportunity to get that sorted ahead of time with the added bonus of getting to know each other ahead of time!
The zoom session is not compulsory and I can send you a link to the replay via email if you are unable to attend or missed it. Or you can simply give me a call on 0410 547 943.

Location… this workshop will be held in the beautiful south coast town of Berry, which is approximately 2 hours from Sydney.
The village is a favourite weekend destination for many with it’s rolling green hills, fabulous food and wine and proximity to many of the Shoalhavens pristine beaches, bushwalks and other villages to explore.
There is plenty of accommodation nearby to suit a range of budgets.
The Main Hall is located behind the Berry Uniting Church. It’s location in Albert Street is right in the heart of the village, so just a short stroll for cafes and shops. There is also plenty of off street parking available at the venue, access via North Street.
